I have been working on this sweater for awhile. I actually don't remember when I started it. I used fisherman's wool held double, so it is very thick and knitted up fairly quickly for its size. The pattern is one of my favorites - A Shalom Cardigan. I just followed this lovely gal's instructions to make it tight and coat like.
I made thick borders on the cuffs and bottom edge which I think give it a little bit of a Russian feel.
