We are down to just two cats these days. And the ones we have are too afraid to put the dogs in their place and not coming around the house much. I have been emailing with the gal in charge of barn cat rehoming and trying to find a tough kitty... Or some kittens that could grow up with the dogs.
Then a friend of mine from pottery class started feeding this stray. But her husband did not want her to continue caring for the cat since they already had two... And so she came to live at our house. She is stuck in the big dog crate for 2 weeks until she gets oriented to the farm and hopefully the other cats will get used to her. She is named Cinder or Cinderella because of her black paws and because she was like the "step-cat" to my pottery class friend's other cats. We think she might be pregnant. I will take her to the vet soon to have her checked out.
