Big sister A had a slumber party with her 4 girl cousins and Miss L. They ate treats and watched Black Beauty.
Then they spent most of the day playing in the snow and holding new pets.
We recently lifted the ban on playing in the front yard unsupervised. They are still supposed to stay at least 10 yards from the road. Hopefully, the fence will be up some day soon. That would help my nerves a lot. The front sledding hill is all the rage this year. We had about 8 inches perfect slick sledding snow. According to my property map from the USDA it's an 8-15% slope.
The kids spent HOURS out there.
Big Sister A wanted all French foods for her birthday: croissants and brioche with nutella for breakfast, baguette and brie for lunch, and crepes a la Rozenn (toasted with ham and cheese) for dinner. They also eat a lot of healthy fruits and veggies in France. These are just the things that she wanted to eat.
We spent the morning driving around to various French bakeries and international grocers gathering supplies for an epic international feast. Baklava, xalva, almond butter croissants, hazelnut torte, and three flavors of goat cheese all ended up mingling with the other requested French items.
We had toasted crepes with ice cream for dessert on Sunday--a more quiet post birthday party with just our crew.
