Thanksgiving Day

In a break from tradition, Grandpop and Grandma J came down to our house for Thanksgiving Day. (My back/hips are already pretty sore and do not appreciate sitting for long stretches, like the 5 hour drive to their house).  We had some wonderful sunny and windy weather for our photoshoot.  I am saving most of the pictures to post later though since they will also be for Christmas presents.  Thanks Dad for taking so many beautiful pro pictures.
Setting the table for our feast.  Everything was ready by noon, so we ate pretty early in the day.
Our lovely home grown turkey! And home grown green beans, potatoes, and onions.

Hubby's family has a traditional monkey bread recipe. He and some helpers made that for our evening snack with salad.
The ones that got away.  These turkeys are all for sale as Christmas turkeys.
 Loving all the attention.
A day of just hanging out means car tracks and races, reading, and napping.
So glad they could make the drive down to visit with us all day.
We brought some chairs in the kitchen for easy conversation while prepping and cleaning up the dinner.
